New Data Types Inference Mechanism on Macintosh Note: XMPie recommends using the IsNullOrEmpty (exprAsString) function in the Plan files. In version 6.5, empty strings in text file Data Sources are treated as NULL.Ī QLingo condition comparing a missing value in the Data Source - that is now treated as NULL - to an empty string, will return a FALSE result. This behavior was inconsistent with uProduce Plan interpretation (Proofset and Job production) that treated missing values as NULL. As a result, a QLingo condition comparing this value to an empty string returned a TRUE result. In uCreate Print and uPlan, when using a text file Data Source (*.txt, *.csv) that contained missing values, the missing values were treated as empty strings.

Therefore, only after the InDesign Server is released and necessary adaptations are made, will XMPie release a compatible plug-in to InDesign CC 2014. Note that XMPie’s release is dependent upon Adobe’s InDesign Server release, which usually follows the client release.
If InDesign CC or CS6 is not installed on the computer, the installer warns and offers instruction on how to download an earlier version of InDesign. When installing uCreate plug-in, the installer first verifies that InDesign CC (or earlier) is installed on the computer, and only then installs the plug-in under the plug-in library of InDesign CC. It does not yet support CC 2014, even if installed on your computer. UCreate plug-in currently supports InDesign CS6 and CC only. For example, if you installed InDesign CC 2014, in your Program files list it will appear beside CC, enabling you to choose the desired version to work with. When installing new releases of Adobe applications, they are installed beside their previous versions.
